How does Green Light work?
Unwanted pigmentation problems – brown spots or freckles – have many causes and can occur in all skin types. This hyperpigmentation is characterised by darker areas of skin posed by the overproduction of pigment in the skin, known as melanin.
The Dr. Müller Bright Skin Light lamps target melanocytes, melanin-producing cells located in the bottom layer of the skin’s epidermis. It inhibits the production of excess melanin, prevents it from travelling to the skin’s surface, and breaks up melanin clusters to lessen existing discoloration.
As a result, dark spots on your skin slightly fade away and your skin will get a more even skin tone. Bright Skin Light also has a sterilising function and increases cell growth. Therefore, enabling your skin to repair wounds easier. Bright Skin Light will keep your skin smooth, healthy and bright.

Mechanisms and applications of the anti-inflammatory effects of photobiomodulation
The study shows that green and blue light can activate NF-kB in normal quiescent cells, however in activated inflammatory cells, inflammatory markers were decreased. One of the most reproducible effects of PBM is an overall reduction in inflammation, which is particularly important for disorders of the joints, traumatic injuries, lung disorders, and in the brain | Read More
Benefits Bright Skin Light
Decreases the production of melanin in the skin
Bright Skin light affects the melanocytes, and cause these cells to reduce the production of melanin. Melanin is the pigmentation in the bottom layer of the epidermis, which causes the skin to become dark.

Reduction of pigment
Bright Skin light prevents the formation of pigment in your skin. Your skin tone will be smooth and bright. Research has shown an 80% improvement in pigmentation among patients.

Diminish redness and erythema and calms your skin
Bright Skin light has anti-inflammatory characteristics, through which it can calm and soothe the skin. Redness and erythema decrease when the skin is treated with Bright Skin light.

Decreases age spots and freckles
Bright Skin light improves the skin tone and evens out pigmentation. It also breaks up melanin clusters (hyperpigmentation) and diminishes existing discoloration. Age spots, freckles and lentigines otherwise known as liver spots become less visible.

Get a lighter skin tone
A reduction in the production of melanin in the skin also causes that less melanin travel to the skin’s surface. As a result, it will lead to a lighter and smoother skin tone.

The decrease of spider veins and rosacea (skin disease that affects people over the age of 30)
Green light is suitable for treating red vessels on the surface of the skin. The light slowly causes the small blood vessels to close down and disappear.

Increases Wound Healing
Bright Skin light has a sterilising function and increases cell growth enabling your skin to repair the affected area. Research shows that cell regeneration was more active in the nearby wound area following treatment with Bright Skin Light leading to increased wound healing.

Wound healing of diabetic foot ulcers
This study identified the effectiveness of green–blue light (400–600 nm) at the cellular level for wound healing, contrasting with red–infrared light’s (600–900 nm) effectiveness at the organism level. Combining both green–blue and red–infrared light showed the most promising results for treating diabetic foot ulcers and open wounds.
