Bright Skin Light Brightens In The Long Term
Bright Skin Light Brightens In The Long Term
At Dr. Müller, we lately received some reactions about the green Bright Skin Light in the Beauty Light Therapy device. Every skin is as individual as you are. Therefore it may occur that exposure to Bright Skin Light does not have the same result for every person. Nevertheless, receiving comments is for us a reason to give some more explanation about our Bright Skin Light.
It has come to our attention, that some users from Asian origin have experienced unexpected results with the Beauty Light Therapy. For example, skin turning darker after one session. This is in contrast with the promise Bright Skin Light makes: that it brightens your skin.
With this press release, we would like to inform our customers that it is indeed possible that the skin of the user may turn dark after one to three sessions. Exposure to Bright Skin Light leads to coloured melanin travelling to the surface of the skin. This is a necessary process in order to brighten the skin. We will explain the effects of Bright Skin Light on our skin on the following pages. Furthermore, we also would like to state that the Collagenic lamps, Bright Skin Light and Blue Skin Light in the Beauty Light Therapy device does not contain any ultraviolet light.
Comparison Beauty Light Therapy vs. Ultraviolet
Exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light via a solarium gives our skin a tan, a darker colour.
Ultraviolet radiation ranges between 290 – 390 nm. From 400nm and up the light is 100% uv-free. All our Dr. Müller Blue Skin Light, Bright Skin Light and Collagenic Light emit light above 400nm. Respectively 415nm, 532nm and 633nm. All these three types of Dr. Müller lamps are therefore 100% UV-free.
In order to give you the complete story we refer to the Bright Skin Light section in our Beauty Light Therapy brochure or continue reading.
How Does Bright Skin Light Work?
Unwanted pigmentation problems – like brown spots or freckles – have many causes and can occur in all skin types. This hyperpigmentation is characterised by darker areas of the skin caused by the overproduction of pigment in the skin, also known as melanin.
Dr. Müller Bright Skin Light targets melanocytes, the melanin-producing cells located in the bottom layer of the skin’s epidermis. It inhibits the production of excess melanin, prevents it from travelling to the skin’s surface, and breaks up melanin clusters to diminish existing discoloration.
As a result, dark spots on your skin fade slightly and your skin will get a more even lighter tone in general. Bright Skin Light also has a sterilising function and increases cell growth, enabling your skin to repair wounds easier. Enjoy Bright Skin Light to keep your skin smooth, healthy and bright.
overview of how bright light works
Why Is My Skin Red After One Session?
The Beauty Light Therapy device has been equipped with 48 lamps of 200W in total. These lamps bring along much warmth. It may happen that your skin reacts to the warmth that is caused by these lamps. Therefore, it is possible that your skin will turn red after a session. However, this does not mean that your skin has been burned.
All of the Dr. Müller lamps are 100% UV-free and therefore it is not possible that your skin burns due to a session in the Beauty Light Therapy device. When your skin is red due to the warmth, the redness will disappear within 24 hours. If you feel any discomfort, you can cool your skin with cold water.
Why Does My Skin Turn Darker After One Session?
Due to the coloured melanin that rises to the skin’s surface, it may be possible that your skin tone turns darker after one session in the Beauty Light Therapy device. However, this is a necessary process in order to get these melanin out of your skin, flake away and brighten your skin. This natural renewal process of your skin is accelerated by the Beauty Light Therapy device. Instant skin brightening results are not possible.
Your skin needs time to get rid of the melanin in order to get brighter. When you notice that your skin turns darker after one session in the Beauty Light Therapy device, it means that the brightening process has started. In the very short term, it will make your skin turn a little darker. However, this is necessary to get it brighter in the long term. As mentioned, every skin is different. As a result, the renewal process may vary based on your lifestyle and genetics.
How Many Sessions Will I Need To Get A Brighter Skin?
Our advise is to take 2 or 3 sessions of 12 minutes a week, for 10 to 12 consecutive weeks. It is preferred to spread the sessions in the Beauty Light Therapy throughout the week. Every skin is different. Therefore, we cannot say precisely after how many sessions the brightening of your skin will occur. Nonetheless, it is scientifically proven that Bright Skin Light will make skin brighter.
